Beginning March 14th
It's time for our third annual 'Mug-a-Neighbor' Easter Sunday outreach tradition. The Easter story is the essence of God's love and the Gospel message, so we can't think of a better opportunity to invite someone new to church. It can feel intimidating to extend an invite to church, but God calls us to break through the barrier... that's where the mugs come in.
How Does It Work?
Beginning Sunday, March 14th, pick up a mug/invitation card combo (or two) from the DoubleTree lobby before, between or after Sunday services. Take the mug home, fill it with your favorite individually wrapped pieces of candy and place the invitation to Easter Service on the top (as shown in photo). Pray about who to invite to Easter services on Sunday, April 4th, then be obedient to His voice and extend that invitation. Please don't leave mugs on doorsteps, ring a few doorbells and have some conversations!
It Doesn't End There
Be praying about the seeds you planted. Even if the person you invite does not accept your invitation, your gesture alone could have a huge impact on their lives and their walk with God. That neighbor might feel less lonely, your brother might realize you haven’t given up on him, or that friend will be assured of your love and friendship. Whoever it is, trust that God will be delighted that you are taking an interest in spreading the love of Jesus Christ to those around you!
