As a church, Foundations gives the firstfruits of all regular tithes and offerings contributed by our congregation back to the kingdom by supporting local, national, and international outreach initiatives. Your tremendous generosity has allowed us to send funds, resources, and people to locations near and far to make meaningful differences for the kingdom. We have also been able to develop strategic partnerships with churches, missionaries, and ministries all over the globe.

The Ratcliffe Family
Paraguay, South America
In October 2014, the Ratcliffe family (Peter and Evi, and their six incredible children) arrived in Paraguay, South America, in obedience to a clear call from Heaven to preach the Gospel, bringing the love of Jesus Christ to unreached tribes. Despite losing their eldest daughter, Emily, in a tragic car accident in the summer of 2019, they have continued to serve the people of Paraguay faithfully and courageously. We as a church are invested, involved and connected in our relationship with the Ratcliffe family for the long run. Our practical, financial support helped them purchase a new all-terrain vehicle that sends them deep into the bush to effectively reach whole communities with the initial Gospel message, food, supplies, and ongoing discipleship programs. COVID-19 Food Distribution Update
In response to the devastating Covid-19 pandemic, The Ratcliffe's are safely and legally distributing food supplies and essential aid. They have seen firsthand that the situation in the indigenous villages they work in are much more desperate than they had thought. With little or no outside aid reaching these precious people, the Ratcliffe's are so happy to give much needed resources and food to as many as they can during these difficult times. Approximately 8 Tons of supplies have already distributed in more than 70 villages! The average cost to reach a village is $150.
The Shai Fund
The Middle East
The Middle East
As many fled the Afrin area of Syria, The Shai Fund immediately sent in much needed urgent aid to displaced families and orphan children. As continued conflict occurs in this area and across Syria, Iraq and the Middle East, The Shai Fund continuously responds with food aid and non-food items. To date, The Shai Fund has helped thousands of families with emergency family packages. We as a church body are honored to stand alongside their mission of assisting victims of war, natural and man-made disaster, famine, poverty and persecution. A Note from Malcolm & Cheryl Hedding
Regional Director of The Shai Fund - Israel
Dear Friends at Foundations Church,
Shalom and greetings! As many of you know, by the good hand of God upon us we have returned to Zion. It is only because of the grace of God that we have accomplished this in an extremely difficult period for Israel and the world. Scripture affirms that nothing is impossible to God and no word from Him will ever fail. He told us during the course of last year to return to Israel and so the "Red Sea has opened" and we have. We praise Him for His faithfulness to us.
Having first been in strict isolation in Jerusalem for ten days we are now in Ramat Aviv on the coast with our daughter Charmaine and her son Ethan. The weather is warm and welcoming and from their patio we have a view of the sea, all of which is delightful and restoring. Israel is still in lockdown but, all things being equal, this will be lifted by next weekend and then we can begin the process of settling in and getting established. The will and purpose of God is calling and we look forward to embracing it.
In this regard, we rejoice to be a part of the Shai Fund. This non-profit has a remarkable story in that it was started in the call of God over Charmaine Hedding's life to be a source of help, care and comfort to the suffering Church in the Middle East and beyond. It arose out of Charmaine's personal journey of trial and difficulty and, to be honest, when she heard the call of God over her life in this regard there were leaders in the Church who told her to forget it, settle down and get a job. Well she persisted and just a few years later the Shai Fund was the joint winner of the prestigious international Aurora Awards that gives recognition to outstanding NGOs that do exceptional work for the distressed and persecuted peoples of the world. God has greatly blessed her and her accomplishments on the ground, which are many, speak for themselves. What's more amazing is that she has singlehandedly built this ministry with integrity and donor delivery as requested. Jesus has honored her in this and has expanded her reach and influence.
Charmaine honed her skills some years ago when she stepped in to aid the suffering church in South Sudan. This was in many respects dangerous work as that part of the world is unstable, filled with militias of all types and very difficult to navigate. She nevertheless flew into the region many times with only one goal in mind; to help the broken lives of Jesus' family. Since then she has brought relief and care to the Christians in Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Armenia and Turkey. In Iraq alone she has established 18 small businesses whereby the persecuted Christians can become self sufficient and thus build their lives once again. The goal in all these countries is not to give a hand-out but a hand-up!
In Israel the Shai Fund is also doing wonderful work and its efforts have attracted the attention of some important government agencies who are working with her. It is really amazing to see what can be done if God gets hold of a life that will be totally surrendered to Him. The Shai Fund is now at a point where it is overwhelming Charmaine and thus Cheryl and I have joined our ministry to it in order to help her share the load and develop it further. We of course have many other avenues of ministry in Israel and internationally but we do thank God for the ministry of love and compassion that flows out from the Shai Fund and are proud to be a part of it.
Jesus said that you will know the spiritual health of a ministry by the fruit that it bears. The Shai Fund has borne good fruit and the testimony of thousands of broken Christian lives, across the Middle East today, bears testimony to this. Please help Jesus comfort His people and support the Shai Fund.
Blessings,
Malcolm and Cheryl Hedding
