How to Start Reading the Bible
Let’s be honest: we know it’s a good idea to read the Bible, but it’s pretty difficult to even know where to start. Click to learn about why the Bible’s important, how to start a daily reading habit, and how it applies to our lives today.
Bible In One Year 2020
This plan takes readers through the entirety of Scripture in one year, including readings from the Old Testament, New Testament and either a Psalm or Proverb each day. Combined with a daily commentary from Nicky and Pippa Gumbel, this plan guides us to engage more closely with God’s Word and encourages us not only to apply the teachings of Scripture to our everyday life, but also to move deeper in our relationship with Jesus.
The OWNit 365 Whole Bible plan is a 6-day-a-week journey through the entire Bible with two readings per day. The acronym “OWN” represents one daily reading from the Old Testament, along with one from the Wisdom Books or New Testament. Each day’s reading is designed to balance both the amount you read as well as provide a section which is easier to understand and apply to your life.
The Bible Project
This plan takes you on a chronological journey through the entire Bible over the course of one year. Each book includes videos specifically designed to enhance your understanding and engagement with God's Word.
M'Cheyne One Year Reading Plan
This plan is based on the M’Cheyne reading system, featuring four different readings for use in both family and personal devotions. Each day has two passages from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and one from either the Psalms or the Gospels. In one year, you read the Old Testament once and the New Testament and Psalms twice.
